Group Exercise

From circuit training, to yogilates, to Zumba, we have something for every age and fitness levels. For a current schedule of group exercise classes and class descriptions, please pick up a copy from the lobby. Description of some of our popular classes is listed below:

 Zumba: this is a high energy fun class to get your hear pumping and your body moving.  Music from today’s hits, country, latin and everything in between.  Zumba is taught by a certified Zumba instructor, come join the party!

Boot Camp for Everyone: Circuit training, strength and cardio, this class is for all fitness levels.  Boot Camp is all about modifications and progressions at your own pace.

Silver Sneakers: We offer 3 classes a week. Class uses bands,  and held weights and silver sneaker balls to improve strength, flexibility and balance.  Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body.  This class is low impact movements for those who need to maintian strength with out the dynamic movement and stress on the body.

Muscle Pump: A high repetition workout focusing on working all the major muscle groups with the use of plate loaded barbell.

Piyo: this is a high energy Yoga and Pilates inspired class.  Come to our 45 minute class of action packed choreography that uses your own body weight to gain strength, flexibility and balance.

Personal Training

Whether you are an elite athlete training for competition or simply someone who wants to look and feel better, our certified personal trainers can design a specific program to meet your individual needs and goals. Age 11 and up (ages 11-16 must have completed their youth fitness appointment prior to registration).

Youth Fitness Programs

This program is for youth ages 11-15 years old and is free to all members. Program is mandatory for youth before using both the weight room and cardio room.  Please check for details of the orientation for your child at the front desk or call us.

All must sign up for an appointment with a trainer at the Front Desk. Upon completion of their appointment they will be issued a Yellow or Blue admittance card to be worn at all times in the cardio and weight room.

Martial Arts

TAE KWON DO

Founded in Korea and is one of the popular modern martial arts. Class teaches agility, mental discipline and self-control and is taught by Chris Stutzman (5th Dan Black Belt) and John Larlee (1st Dan Black Belt). Class meets every Monday and Friday from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

All participants will will need to purchase a Tae Kwon Do punch card to attend.

 

Medical & Wellness Evaluations

Your health and well-being is important to you, your loved ones and the Y. our staff can help evaluate your current health and fitness status and help you set realistic personal goals. Evaluations include blood pressure screenings, body fat testing, and fitness testing .

Registered Dietitians are the food and nutrition experts that translate the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living. Whether your goals are weight loss, weight gain, improved health, increased energy or maximized sports performance. Our registered dietitian, Alissa Ogburn,RD,CLT,LD, can help you sort through the misinformation and create a nutrition plan just for you.
