Group Exercise

From circuit training, to Tai Chi, to Zumba, we have something for every age and fitness levels.

Body Blast-This class is designed to build strength and fitness through a variety of intense group intervals over a 1-hour period.   M 5:50-6:30 pm

BODYPUMP-  The original barbell class for absolutely everyone. Instructors will show you all the moves and techniques to make your first class safe, fun, and give you strength for everyday life. This class will utilize light to moderate weights with high repetition. This is a total body workout that burns calories, shapes, and tones without building bulky muscles.  T 5:30-6:30 am 8:30-9:30 am and 12:15-12:45 pm. W 5:30-6:30 pm, TH 12:15-12:45 pm, Sat 8:30-9:30 am.

Circuit Training- This class involves MMA style training exercises, including kicking and hitting stationary bags and Focus gloves. Other equipment used can include kettlebells, medicine balls, heavy ropes, jump ropes, plyo boxes. It is a full body conditioning class set to a circuit which allows any fitness level to join in on this class.  W  F 7-8 pm Sat 10-11 am

Low Impact Aerobics- Low impact workouts are typically less hard on the body, specially our joints and can be a great way to get in a heart-pumping workout while reducing the risk of injury. M 9:45 am

Muscle Ex-  Great workout for all fitness levels, working every major and minor muscle group. Dumbells, barbells, balls, bands and body weight are used to focus on what your body needs. Amazing foam roller cool down helps your body recover. Every class is different so don’t miss out! TH 8:30-9:30 am 

Pilates- a body conditioning technique designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body.  Exercises are aimed at building muscle strength and re balancing the body.  Excellent for improving posture, strength, flexibility, and aligning the body. T 9:45-11 am

PiYo- Total body fitness system designed to whip you into shape from head to toe.  It combines the practices of Pilates and Yoga to help you build strength, lose weight, increase flexibility, and have a great time doing it.  PiYo was created by Chalene Johnson for founder of Turbo Kick system.  Try something fun and different for your work out.   M & F 12:15-1:00

Silversneakers Circuit- Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout.  Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a Silversneaker ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography.  A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.  Recommended as one of the most effective exercises for physical and mental well-being and is especially suitable and effective for arthritis.  F 9:45-10:30 am

Silversneakers Classic- Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and activity for daily living skills.  Hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and ball are offered for resistance, along with a chair for seated exercises and support for standing exercises.  T TH 1:00-1:45 pm

S.W.E.A.T- High intensity total body fitness routines to fun upbeat music, incorporating strength training through use of dumbbells, plyometrics, step and Tabata. Come SWEAT with us, where Strenous Whole-hearted Effort Attains Transformation!  M W F 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Tai Chi- an ancient marital art that is practiced today for improved health and well-being.  At the YMCA we practice “Yang style Tai Chi”, one of the two original lineages and the one most practiced in the world.  You will learn the fundamentals of movement which in important for improving posture, balance, strength in the muscles and bones, and add fluidity and control to how you move. W 10:45-11:45 (in family gym) and  T, TH 6:30-7:30 (in the SAC Room)

Zumba- High energy fun class, great work out dancing to Latin and today’s hit music. T Th 5:30-6:30 pm

Yoga- Yoga does more than burn calories and tone the body. A total mind and body workout combine strengthening and stretching poses with deep breathing and meditation or relaxation. M W 5:30 am

Turbo Kick-  Each workout is packed with calorie-blasting cardio, kickboxing, body sculpting, and dance moves set to the hottest music. Th 5:30 am

H.I.I.T-  One of the most popular forms of high-intensity-interval- training. Alternating short periods or intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods.  F 9:00 am

Your health and well-being is important to you, your loved ones and the Y. our staff can help evaluate your current health and fitness status and help you set realistic personal goals. Evaluations include blood pressure screenings, body fat testing, and fitness testing .
