The YMCA works to meet
the needs of our community through our team of generous volunteers and caring
staff. The YMCA offers a variety of programs and services, including summer
camp, childcare, youth and adult sports, swim lessons and swim teams, health and
fitness classes, strength training and cardio equipment, water aerobics and
more. All of this is provided in a family-friendly atmosphere with our core
values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
HUTCHINSON POLAR PLUNGE
2.5-mile run & 150-yard swim
When: Saturday, February 27th at 1pm

Participants must be 12 or older. Event
open to 50 participants. Note: In case of inclement weather, the duathlon
will be moved to Feb 28th at the same time. If the duathlon is canceled
twice because of weather there is no make-up date. There are no refunds.
Join us for our first-ever POLAR PLUNGE run-swim
duathlon in Hutchinson, a special fitness event to raise money and awareness for
youth swim lessons in the community! Participants will start in the
YMCA parking lot, run or walk to Gowans Stadium where they'll complete 8 laps,
and return to the starting point. There, they'll transition to swim 150
yards serpentine-style inside the YMCA swimming pool. This non-competitive
event is open to both individuals and teams - one person for each leg of the
race. Participants will enjoy our laid-back atmosphere plus plenty of
goodies and grub at the event's finale! Sign-up fast, as participation is
limited to the first 50 individuals or teams! For additional information

The
Silver Sneakers Fitness Program is an exercise program designed for our seniors
with Humana Gold Choice Parts A, B and D. Please ask the front desk for more
information. Humana will pay for your membership to the YMCA.
Classes are held on Monday and Friday mornings, and Tuesday and Thursday
afternoons. These exercise classes designed for our senior citizens. It's a low
impact not high intensity workout. Please call 620-662-1203 if you have
any questions.
